Great teams win championships, so of course he had a nice supporting cast. But, not even in the realm of greatest ever.

The most shocking theme is MJ never played with a great 4 or 5 on those teams. Horace was a really nice/good player, but not near great. You really couldn't argue Horace was ever top 5 any year at the PF position, much less ever in the conversation of elite big man. Also, it's when the league had legit big men. It's hard to name championship teams w/o a good to great big man. Yet, MJ did it 6 times.

*The late 80s Pistons, come to mind not having great Big men.

I would agree with this. Grant was solid, but he only made one all-star team and I'm pretty sure that was after MJ retired the first time.

If you look at the rest of the big men on those Bulls teams, there's Cartwright and Perdue, then Longley and Wennington...those guys did little more than fill space.
