Im sure Les wont change much from his philosophy of run first so hopefully other schools wont tell LF he wont get his touches at LSU.

I wasn't aware that Cam Cameron was the OC for Don Coryell.

If you did your homework and read up on CC a little bit, you would have never started this thread.

He throws the ball to the RB a lot, probably helps

Yeah I'm also worried about Cameron's record with RB's. All of that RB talent wasted under his offensive schemes.

It's amazing how people hear air coryell and have no idea what the offense really entails. This offense is custom fitted for Fournette's skills. He has great hands to go with his already spectacular running ability. Expect our TE and RBs to get lots of touches and more vertical down field passing then we've seen. People need to wikipedia the offense and learn what it's trying to do.

Even Coryell wasn't an Air Raid guy.
Chuck Muncie did very well with San Diego

There will be an entire season under Cameron before signing day next year.

not much is going to hurt with Fournette. all signs point to him, and the rest of the NOLA bunch coming to LSU

"Look what happened to Ray Rice. You don't want to end up like Ray Rice do you?"

quote:thats the rant argument for sure, even though he got just as many carries under cam as he did the new OC.

Besides, any smart RB understands that without a good passing game, the 'box' will be stuffed.....limiting the running game.

quote:I lived in San Diego as a kid and went to a few of those games---a lot of fun to watch. One year, the Chargers had the NFL's best offense and worst defense. Yes, Muncie made the Pro Bowl twice as a Charger and tied the NFl record in 1981 with 19 rushing TDs (also had 1144 yards rushing that year). Don Coryell's receivers ran deep routes and Fouts had a cannon arm, and that opened up tremendous space for Muncie on draw plays and screens.
Even Coryell wasn't an Air Raid guy.

Besides, everything that I hear about LF is that he's a great receiver out of the backfield, so he would still get a lot of touches even if we started throwing a lot.
ETA: For those of you younger than me, Mike Martz used the Coryell system (even the same play numbers) to create the Greatest Show on Turf, and that made Marshall Faulk league MVP and Offensive Player of the Year.
