At lvl 7 you max out on troops at lvl 5 and camps lvl 5 correct?
Plus you can put up to lvl 6 walls all around which helps.
But when searching if you find a lvl 5 TH you get less loot than say you have a lvl 5 TH and find another lvl 5.
As I've said before everyone has a different opinion on how to build your base. So just find what you value most and work on it, for me it is storages/attacks (meaning troop leveling/camp building/barrack building/spells) and then defense.

Correct. There's a chart on wikia that outlines the difference in loot taken (+3 difference in TH results in 150% of available loot).
