This didn't really refute his claim.

There were far more tech threads produced on the OT when compared to music threads, irrespective of length. Yet, somehow, music received a dedicated place of discussion.

Many tech threads do stay at the top of the page. Others, some of which are more technical, fall off the first page bereft of any response. The simple point is that technology has been the most popular single topic on the OT for quite some time.

That's certainly justification for a tech board. There was zero justification for a music board, or most of the other boards that were seemingly introduced on a whim.

I'm on the OT reading throughout the day, a lot more than I should be. In going to disagree with saying its the most popular, based on what I see. It certainly is prevalent, but I'll disagree with most popular.
