Yeah but they have an excellent train system which is a far superior way to travel.

The incomparable Roman gelateria Fatamorgana just opened a branch near the Spanish Steps (an area otherwise plagued by throngs of tourists and not much else besides overpriced designer stores). Read more here: LINK /
Flavors like chocolate & tobacco, basil/walnut/honey, etc. Fantastic stuff.

We wanted to be able to stop in various cities, including Milan, to stay the night. We also didn't want to be on a schedule. So a train didn't really work.
