It's generally packed, and I mean packed, with tourists, it stinks, literally, and I just had bad experiences there. Rome and Florence are also obviously full of tourists, but you can get away from them fairly easily if you know what you're doing. Seemed like there was no avoiding them in Venice. It's a beautiful place, but it's just not a place I want to spend time.
