Herein lies the problem. We think that is true, but, according to Herschel last night, the baby has only been alive for barely a week. Meaning the phone/hallucinations/psycho Rick has only been "done with" for a few days in the story. I think the issue is that, as viewers, we haven't seen that in a few months, due to the season break. Therefore, we think he's either been over it for a long time or it's gone on for too long now. Mid-season breaks suck in that we have to re-program ourselves that it's the "same season" as before.
