Its not as big a dillehma as it was in FNL because of modern medicine.
Knee injuries rarely end careers for players that young now a days.

I know modern medicine has come a ways but it doesn't take much for these kids to never be teh same and the splits in talents between them and the next guy is all too close. It will always be a risky proposition.
