What did you get? I'm sure some of it has to be really good to have that reputation

I've been to Smitty's. The brisket and smoked sausage were fantastic. They have the coolest smokers too. Just don't step too far to the right when you walk in the door or you will fall in the fire.

Franklin is really worth it. I'm a Smitty's over Kreutz but what the hell I'll eat any of them. I think Smittys does pork ribs great and kind of as a side. Big arse ribs.
I'm a shoulder clod eater though over brisket.

I got brisket and a sausage ring. The brisket was excellent. I'm not a huge fan of that style of sausage. It was a little mushy for my tastes. I know that's the style, but I prefer Louisiana style smoked sausage. Was a cool experience and proof that Brisket doesn't need a complex rub. They use salt and pepper only and the flavor was fantastic.

I'm not a fan of that style sausage either. That's exactly how to describe it. Mushy. All else is good though.
