So what as gun owners can we expect as far as the availability of ammo

in the near future... we looking at having to scrounge for a couple of months or longer. Thoughts?

Federal is running 24/7 and of the beginning of the month they were back ordered till 2015. Stuff will start to come back in but full shelves and cheaper prices is years away...

Right now, we're seeing froth on top of the already high prices. That froth reflects the premium for "right here, right now" over "I can accept a backorder," and "I'll check all the websites and stores for a deal every day."

I scooped up some brass .223 for $0.40 at Sheels last week because I got lucky. I bought some Wolf 7.62x39 for $0.25 from AIM last week because I was on their alert list and ordered it immediately after I got the email. Panic buyers are paying double that.

The froth will begin to fade some time late Spring or early Summer. But to see Wolf 5.56 for $0.25 or .308 for $0.40 will take years, if ever.
