If Applewhite is out at Texas would you like to see him at LSU in some capacity?

We should go after Gordon Bombay

Jock strap sniffer. Anything more than that would be rediculous.

So wait.... it was with a dude

I think we could easily do worse. Why not take him on as a position coach?

I'm surprised Applewhite hasn't landed a HC job yet.

Nothing in the article suggests that.

Which current coach are you going to fire?

Nothing in the article suggest a woman either.

Nothing in the article suggest a woman either. And the fact that this happened with a student-athlete on a Fiesta Bowl trip makes it weirder.
Plenty of support staff go on bowl trips, not to mention those who work with the alumni associations, the booster clubs, etc.

Supposedly, it was with a female trainer who was a student. The question is why this is coming up 4 years after the fact.

In the article it stated another oach in the track program had a relationship with a student and was fired. His lawyer leaked this to the press before his lawsuit against UT goes to court.

Well, the UT guy eluded to it, and myself and others were more in a state of disbelief and curiosity than assuming it to be fact.

Texas fired their women's track and field coach, a black female, for having sex with a student-athlete.
Applewhite gets reprimanded after having sex with a student-athlete, then later promoted to OC.
Lawsuit filed by former track coach.
I'm guessing this is whats it's all about.

Her lawyer is arguing she was treated worse because she is a gay black female (talk about the perfect plaintiff for this type of case), but from the employer side I can see where there are differentiating factors. Applewhite had a one-time incident with a support staff member that was immediately reported, while Kearney had an unreported two-and-a-half-year relationship with one of her own team members. University policy apparently does not prohibit either type of relationship, but does require the professor/coach/whoever to report it.

Agree just cut the track coach a check and move on UT and fire Major to save face or get raked over the coals in public.
