He has been everywhere this week trying to get his message out about his disease. You can see he is struggling, but the guy is still out there fighting and being part of this community. He may not have much time left, and when that time does come, I hope this city and organization gives him the kind if sendoff he deserves. Gleason is a warrior and has been a great ambassador of this city.

His actions represent Life. Be it metaphorically on the field, or literally off the field. He will live on because even though he cant speak now with his voice, his actions have always spoken louder.

the one thing you can always count on is gleason to have a smile on his face. I had the luxury of meeting him through an old friend who's dad was diagnosed with ALS last April.
He told me that ALS is to him as med school will be to me, it teaches us something complicated everyday, kicks our arse on most days, but we should keep learning as much as we can from it because one day we may make a difference with the "special" knowledge we received on those occasional days when we cared to pay attention.
Guess we all should take that advice and apply it into all parts of our lives for steve gleason!

I love Gleason's will to fight. I hope the NOLA throws him the biggest funeral the city has ever seen. That second line is going to be massive.

I was on the street car riding next to a man and his wife tonight on their way to a Steve Gleason fundraiser.
