Was JOB's cut to the basket by CJJ's design or just a random brain fart on behalf of Missouri?

I was in the PMAC, so only saw it live. Looked to me like Missouri just had a total breakdown. JOB certainly did not look like he was expecting to be open, and Carmouche didn't look like it either on the pass. That said, I wish they would have tried that set again on subsequent inbounds plays.

Looked like by design, both guards broke to the baseline and he faked the pick.

Forward Johnny O'Bryant III

On his dunk late in the game to break the Missouri press...
"I communicated with Coach [Johnny] Jones - he told me to go long. I saw that the [defender] wasn't ready for it so I just took off. Charles [Carmouche] made a good pass, and I just finished the play."

The guy behind me noticed that before the timeout Mizzou had no players back there . He kept yelling throw it deep.

Coach Jones must have seen the same thing.

Missouri knew we wanted to go to Stringer, and I think we played off the double team perfectly. Definitely an option read. Great job going to the hole and not trying to run more clock. The easy layup was more important.

Designed. Lure the defense into thinking JOB was just setting a screen to get the ball to your shooting guard (Stringer) that was double teamed. Then roll off over the top where there's no help.

I'm right behind the bench. It was definitely by design and frankly it was sort of obvious. When we broke CJJ yelled down to JOB to cut hard using a hand motion. Nothing discreet about it. Even with that said... I don't think anyone would have guessed Mizz would have played it so bad.
