No, you weren't quoting me. You just look like a complete tool jumping into a debate to chime in when you have no clue whats going on. Dude wasn't being negative at all. But its ok, you're really cool.

Where have I said, he can't play football?
You didn't.
I also never said that you did.

By responding to his post? Man, you're knighting for him hard.

You crucified me for simply bringing up the notion that he could have a better chance at a baseball career than football.

Not true. I said it was stupid that you thought he would just make it to the show. You said he would make it to the show based on the arm he displayed in 6.2 innings of college baseball.
I understand what you are thinking. However, he has shown significantly more with his football talent that would lead one to believe he could make it in the NFL.

That's where it got lost in translation.
Maybe you read it as me saying he would just pick up a baseball and miraculously sign a long term contract with a MLB team.
I think it's pretty implied that he would have to put a lot of work in to make his way through the minors, but the talent he had as a pitcher...you get that into a minor league system where they work with you year-round, yeah, I think he would eventually make it to the majors.
Going back to the crux of my argument, I certainly think there is a lesser risk for a similar reward in the MLB as opposed to the NFL.

Que???
Chad and Roman are very similar in style of play. Great at blitzing off the edges, not the greatest in one-on-one coverage.

If you are talking about bodily harm, I definitely agree with you here.

Let's just all agree that we are pulling for him to succeed. Even if it's not in professional sports. It is a miracle that he is alive and walking and able to run. God has already blessed him. I am sure that he wants to give football his best shot.

No way he has the speed he once had.

2 things
Chad was a star baseball outfielder and could hit the ball a mile. He only pitched after throwing a few during practice and his catcher running to CPM and telling him he had to see Chad throw. He could play pro ball as an outfielder or get a little more work in and work his way into a rotation. His natural talent alone will get him onto a AA team.
Second, for those of you doubting he can play football, this is Chad freakin Jones. Half man, half predator. People overcome injuries and adversities everyday and achieve their dreams. If he is healthy enough to run a 4.8 40, then that means his leg is operating correctly, he just needs to get more strength back. Good Luck Chad, and WHO DAT!!

Dude was this close to losing the leg altogether. Obviously you can recover from it, but the chances of getting it back to the shape it was in before the wreck are slim to none.
This is one of those instances where it's better to put aside the quest to be right and just root for the man in whichever endeavor he choses.
I see no room for naysayers on this subject.
All hail Chad Jones for his determination even if he happens to fall short.

This is typically where the most prospects in an organization are.

He had about 15 at bats at LSU. He did ok in those 15 at bats. He hasn't hit a live pitch in 4 years. There is a slight difference between the mediocre pitching he saw and arms at the AA level.

He wasn't even a starter at LSU in the little time he actually played.
I am all for Chad Jones. I hope he makes it. Seems like a great guy and like a great representative of LSU, but this is beyond delusional.

baseball has had his heart, but he sees the opportunity to excel in football...smart move I would think. Also mo money unless you get to be in those top 20 of high paid baseball players
big reason for him not going pro in baseball out of HS...

Didn't CJ run the 40 at his old high school like 4 months ago? wasn't it like 4.4 speed?
