Go back to leather helmets or make the helmet material much softer. With the increase of helmet technology players feel invulnerable and start launching themselves leading with their head. Players wouldn't do this if they had less protection.

Hines Ward came out and said the exact same thing a couple months ago. Players now use the helmets as weapons, but if we revert back to the leather helmets, you would see more textbook tackling and less people using their helmets as missle projections.
