Not to mention a few years before he lost out on two of the greatest Louisiana QBs to ever put on pads: Terry Bradshaw and Joe Ferguson

Terry Bradshaw, believe or not couldn't get in LSU. La Tech said they'd take care of him academically and they did. Ferguson was NEVER going anywhere else but Arkansas.

Don't know if there's any truth to it, but REALLY old-timers used to tell me the Bahr would tell kids from LA to go anywhere else but LSU.

I think he knew deep down that if the sleeping giant ever woke up, it would cause more trouble for Bammer that most any other school.

Legend has it that Bahr told Ferguson that since Bammer couldn't take him, he would be best to go to UArk.

I've heard this for years and assume it is true but if someone like Ramsey Dardar could qualify to enroll and stay eligible at LSU for four years, God knows LSU could have kept Bradshaw eligible, too.

I'd have loved to see Terry play in Tiger stadium.

He had THE CANNON of all cannons of an arm and threw what is still the longest, damdest touchdown pass in a game I've ever seen.
