I see no reason that diminishes my point. Why do you care if he took plays off?

Exactly what I was thinking when that dumb alien scenario was presented. I'll take the receiver who balled to 215 yards in one SB and 3 TDs each in two other SB's.
What is your point here?

"Moss was just unstoppable". Except when he did not feel like playing & took the game/s off. When he was dogging it, he was a DOG!
But he's not gonna dog it against the aliens. He doesn't want to see the planet get blown to smithereens. Do you?

His point there was probably the rice is the best receiver and performed brilliantly in big games. I assume if we are talking about your dumb alien shite then that is considered a big game.

1. Yes he caught a lot of passes in games where the 49ers won by 45 points. Brilliant analysis.
2. If his sample size were any smaller it would begin to resemle your.... Well, let's just say a sample size of three games is pretty damn small. It proves nothing about a receiver being "clutch"...to the extent it is even possible for a receiver to be clutch.
3. The Alien Test is a useful conceptual framework for comparing players. If you don't see how it narrowly focuses the analysis and thus eliminates pages upon pages of nonsensical posts -- written by intellectual lightweights like yourself -- cherry picking various statistics to establish something too nebulous to be established, then you are simply an intellectual lightweight. Oh wait, I already mentioned that. Well then you're also a failure at posting and in life.

Wow. Those #s are just sick. Didn't realize he was averaging like 10 catches for 165 yards and 2 TD's in his first 3 SB's.
As to Moss' claim; I think he could be the GOAT IF he would have tried every game for his whole career. He was amazing. I remember watching him at Marshall jumping over people and wishing the Saints would take him. In the NFL, when he did try, he was unreal and unstoppable.
But Rice, who I hated because of division rivalry was downright unstoppable at times too. But when looking at #s, you can see that Moss could pass up Rice had he played all out for his career. But he didn't and so ends his GOAT talk.
I'm with others in that if Megatron plays for a long time w/o injury, he could pass up every # in the book.

...unless you are using The Alien Test as your guiding criteria.

He is going to have to pick up his TD pace then. He has 54 through 6 seasons.
After his first 6 seasons, Rice had 79.
