47 interceptions more than TDs in his career.
There are zero arguments against that. Even renowned gunslingers like Brett Favre have more than 100 TDs than interceptions.

It's easier to intercept a football when you can knock a wide receiver down any where on the field, g00ber. Namath also tended to take far more risks with the football and he would be the first to tell you that. Bear Bryant said Namath was the greatest athlete he had ever coached.
High praise from two of the greatest coaches the game has ever seen.
If you stick an in-his-prime Namath in today's NFL with today's rules he would dominate. Bill Walsh said he had a cannon for an arm and the best release of any QB he had ever seen.
