There is a limit on assisstant coaches. Someone will have to move on or be let go in order for a new hire to be made. We won't know who unless a change is actually made.

I commented in an earlier thread that Ensminger is going to be reassigned to BBQ duty and paid directly by TAF.

this exact scenario has been kicked around a few times before, though not with anyone heaping such praise on Stud's OL coaching (fwiw I think he's ok and wouldn't mind keeping him in that capacity).

we'll just have to wait and see how it all plays out.

Kragthorpe is the lynchpin not Stud or Ensminger. There aren't a whole lot of OC/OL or OC/TE coach's available. The reshuffle would be something like this:
Kragthorpe to admin role
Stud: back to OLine (if he stays)
NEW OC/QB Coach

Hypothetical question about the # of assistant coaches
Why on earth would there be no limit on Les Miles' salary but a numbers limit on assistant coaches? Rutgers had two offensive coordinators at one time, so I don't see why LSU couldn't hire one good one without letting someone go.
