That's the stupidest thing I've ever seen......if anything the best of 3 should be in the semifinal/finals rounds. I assume they are doing that so the end of year tournament isn't messed up, but the changes are completely worthless in my opinion.

It should help pitcher's arms throughout the season. If you know you can't ride one pitcher to the state tournament, you are more likely to develop other guys throughout the year, spreading the innings out.
I like the best of 3 series, it should have been implemented long ago.
