Only 2 songs off gogo boots and big to do total.

That's kind of a shame. The last two albums were recorded in the same sessions, and I think if they cut the chaffe, you could make arguably their strongest album with the best cuts. They just should have edited a little better and left some songs on the cutting room floor. But stuff like This fricking Job and Cartoon Gold are among the best things they've ever done. And I'll admit, Drag the Lake Charlie cracks me up.

i think thats a fair take - i loved tracks but didnt love the albums. They were recorded together, and released as the two seperate records, as you said...

i like go go boots a lot more than big to do, although i always enjoyed birthday boy and a few others off big to do a ton. they walked out of that session with the potential for 1 great album, about an album and a half of good enough tracks, and unfortunately put out two full albums. i think especially with some of the gogo boots stuff - until they replace neff and have a slide guitar and jay back on keys we wont hear a ton of that live.

Show was great... but I'd agree...

I guess I need to catch Cooley solo to get this stuff...

Fight me but every song Cooley played was great but "Get Downtown" is my least favorite Cooley track ever.

I don't know how much I like the rotation between Patterson-Cooley song in and song out. Seems kind of predicatable, especially the first 3 songs of the encore. The last jam, Patterson rocked.
