Several people have said this in the thread and I disagree with it

It's a numbers game. You still need to put 2 on their top guy. If you have a corner that can take away their top guy by himself that frees up another defensive back to help elsewhere.

Not to mention he's missed a ton of games due to injury. Wish him the best of luck outside of NY

yes but you're seeing more and more that the truly good passing teams (those with elite qbs especially) aren't reliant on that 1 guy nearly as much. Is the saints offense killed when Colston is locked down? NE with Lloyd? Green Bay with Jennings? etc

With the evolution of the TEs in the passing game and qbs spreading it around more and more taking 1 guy away at the expense of quality on the rest of the defense is foolish. Especially when only a handful of guys truly require that double team week in and week out.
