Curtis and Evangel will voluntarily move themselves up, especially Curtis knowing they won't sacrifice the other sports.
Sounds like Curtis wants to have their cake and eat it too.
Why doesn't Curtis put more emphasis on the other sports if they are so far behind? Perhaps the year-around football preparation harms the other sports.
John Curtis has 2A enrollment. They belong in 2A. If there was a rule allowing teams to play up, then they should play up in all sports.

How? Curtis just won a national championship out of 2A. They can repeat next year too. This is all happening in the small school division. If they really wanted to have their cake and eat it too, wouldn't they just want to stay in small schools? And gimme a break with the whole tired argument of "they should focus on other sports too". Show me one school that is the top of their game in every sport in their division.

Their other sports (softball, baseball, volleyball) can beat the Ben Frankilins, Karr, OPWalkers.., but they don't matchup up against the Dominicans, Brother Martins, Jesuits.
