Season 2 is much better the second time around. I think people don't like season 2 at first because they want more of the Barksdale storyline.

Fantastic show. I finished it a couple months ago and it really is incredible.
I'd rank the seasons:

But as weak as 5 is, it's still really good. Watch it immediately if you've never seen it. I'm kinda upset with myself for waiting as long as I did.

Yeah that is a good point, most people really wanted to see more of the Barksdales, but I did like Sergio and the Greek and what not. Not big on the union storyline.
