I'm no Star Wars junky but I don't think Abrams is all that great of a choice, not a big fan of his. Who would be more fitting for this project? Not sure. I think Ridley Scott would make a good Star Wars.

Lets face it. Today's audience wants fast action and even faster quips among the main characters. Character development has to happen through witty dialouge and not plot.

Star Trek (the reboot) is perfect for today's audiences. We learn about all of the characters' idiosyncrasies through how they respond to fast action and faster conversations among themselves.

Star Wars will be fine as long as the story is good. In fact, if it is to be a trilogy, then unanswered questions will come in handy. It will also create a new type of Star Wars character.

I thought maybe Danny Boyle. Sunshine is incredible sci-fi until the end where the story lost control
