Do you play golf? There is a dramatic difference hitting an iron shot from the rough as opposed to the fairway. When they hit it close from the rough, it's why they're pros. But hitting fairways greatly increases the chances of winning.

Tiger would not have a big lead if he hadn't been hitting fairways the first three rounds.

With a 4 iron, yes. With a 8- wedge, no.

No. Scrambling ability is the difference between high level amateur play and professional play.

Think they posted one of his rounds where he hit 8 fairways and 15 greens. Rough for these guys with a 9 iron or less is like first cut. Like I said it matters in 2-3 tourneys a year. This isn't one of them.
