I prefer a show to tie up it's loose ends, why would you want every question never resolved?

Not so much the answering of questions, just wrapping it up smoothly. You can answer questions and leave the viewer with a couple more or maybe in wonder of what will become of the characters after the show. I'm at a dog park so I need to pay more attention.

The last episode of the x files should have been

1. Samantha mystery explained. Mulder gets real closure. Not that weird spirit crap they did earlier.

1a. (Optional) Mulder learns the date of the alien invasion

2. Scully gives a monologue while typing on her computer where she recollects how much she has seen and how much she has changed, and the last line should be her saying/typing "the truth is out there"

I would also say that the alien conspiracy, while it did have a good "wrap-up" because they have never gone back to it.. we can pretty much just assume they went away, and never found anything, and ended up the only human survivors after the invasion..

Fringe wraps things up, but there are definitely still a question or 2 that allow for discussion
