Co-Worker bought a golden boy .22 for his son for Christmas.

They are currently on gun #2 being sent back to factory.

Gun #1 would not cycle rounds. Gun #2 had to use a sheet of plywood just to see where the rounds where hitting.

Not saying Henry doens't make a good rifle and they are taking care of the problem. I would just not have expected this out of a 400.00 plus .22 . Hell before Christmas he asked me what lever action I would buy and I told him Henry all the way.

So there can be issues with any gun maker.

Sounds like he got a lemon. Every Henry I've ever messed with was great.

But like u said any gun can have issues.

If I had a CZ 452, it would be one of the nicest .22s I would've shot. CZ, Savage, Win, and Rem all make some other very well established alternatives. Just have to decide bolt vs pump vs semi-auto.
