He's either a murderer or an accessory. The fact that he first lied, later snitched and then had to pay off the family tells me all I need to know about the man and what he got away with.
I can't believe people have forgotten all this. Guys like Plaxico and Adam Jones are angels compared to this guy and he's supposedly a role model?

What does it say about the prosecutors if they offered him a deal? Could it be that he, you know, didn't kill anyone or that they didn't have any evidence against him.
As for "paying" off the family, that should tell you it was a lot cheaper than going thru a trial. Good chance he was only sued because he is famous and has deep pockets.

according to who? Why should football players, regardless of past associations be considered role models? He's a good football player, that's it as far as i'm concerned.

he lied, and was convicted of obstruction. justice done
he testified against 2 people and they were still found not guilty
he would lose a civil lawsuit, so why wouldn't he settle?
