Definitely. It's like he had some kind of axe to grind against the kid. I don't really get why though.

I also don't understand why LSU fans feel the need to denigrate the kid. He tried to commit before he took the trip to Bama. If his commitment would have been accepted, he never would have taken that trip. And no, I don't have a link for that, because I can't link a phone call.

Projectp speaks the truth. If we wanted Williams then he'd be committed to us. He tried and we denied. It's that simple and anything further discussed is unnecessary. Just wish the kid luck and move on without any bashing of the young man. I'm sure many of us made some mistakes when we were his age. I know I did.

Now, I will say this - LSU's head coach and QB coach had children who were teammates of Tim Williams - if he didn't hold a commitable offer before his trip to Bama, with all of the kids we knew were going to the NFL early, what does that tell you?

Not sour grapes, but something developed during this recruitment. It is probably better that we don't know all the ins and outs. Still would have liked to have him, but, like I always say this time of year - you don't win or lose because of the kids you don't get - you win or lose because of the kids you do get.
