Try to fish next to the marina in the main channel with live bait on the bottom. Reds/drums are usually stacked there but not sure if they gonna be there this time of the year. Head out East and go towards the sulfur mines, suppose to be good fishing in the winter months. You can also fish off the main channel around the entrances to small cuts in the marsh. You can usually tear up the reds that way on an outgoing tide with a popping cork. It's an awesome place to fish, especially for reds, but just not to sure about this time of the year. Good Luck

Thanks for the advice. My thinking about going now is that I am itching to go over there and look around. (really explains it all) As for the time of year, I figure after a week of sunny days and no rain the salinity will be back up, the water will be more clear than it has been, and the sun will be warming the bottom in the shallows some. I have no idea if this will be enough to excite the fish, but I will never know unless I get out there.
