How Active Are LSU Alums In Recruiting?

I am convinced that Archie Manning, for example, and his son, are active in rebuilding Ole Miss. What kid is not impressed hearing a plea from them?
I wonder how active our former Tiger greats are in trying to get kids to come to LSU?

LSU alum are playing in the NFL! That's how they recruit!

Very. Maybe even more than any other school. The family feeling at LSU is why players come back so much to help out. Ryan Clark treats all the younger players like his little bro's, same goes for Peterson, K.Sheppard, and the majority of the former players. That pattern will remain with the upcoming classes

Alums cannot be involved with recruiting. Back in the day they could, I remember Archie Manning at my School when he played for the Saints recruiting our QB, who chose Bama instead.
It's a good thing they can't, in my opinion. Remember the uproar when Reggie Bush was calling Joe McNight? We'd have Ingram at every St Aug practice if it were allowed.

The way the Saints run game has looked, I don't think Ingram can afford to recruit for Bama during his time off.

He gained more yardage celebrating on Bama's Sidelines than he did in a Saints game.

Ryan Clark is vocal on twitter about losing players to out-of-state schools.

it is not legal but they still do it but as long as the university is not telling them to do it or hes not on the university payroll i think its fine

Boosters are like Obama. They choose which rules they will follow.

That's not legal. Remember Bush on the phone with Joe McKnight?
