Jacksonville requested permission from New Orleans to interview Pete Carmichael Jr for its OC job. New Orleans still wants to re-sign him.

I don't think he's ready to be "the guy." Isn't Jacksonville's new HC a defensive guy?

Pete Carmichael + Tebow = Championship
Make it happen, Jaguars.
Make it happen, Jaguars.

Gus Bradley i believe... i don't think J'ville is close to having the talent to be successful but if he makes gabbert/henne? into a player then he's destined for a HC job, if not... could be a career killing move.

That would be a really risky jump for Carmichael

Is Petey on a 12 year plan here? If he's not ready to move on to be an OC job "by himself" he sure as hell shouldn't be interviewing for HC jobs.

How is it ok that we can lose Kromer and possibly Carmichael and yet still can't have our head coach back until after the Super Bowl? How the frick is that even fair? We are already behind the ball right now going into 2013.
I fricking hate Roger Goodell.
I fricking hate Roger Goodell.

Its amazing. If this were NY or big D and Himler was affecting a second seasons outcome like this all hell would be breaking loose in the MSM.
I just don't get the silence.

I don't understand why permission was asked?
Posted on 1/17/13 at 12:20 pm to Chad504boy
Saints should refuse all such requests until Payton is allowed to remove his muzzle.
Unless if it's someone we want to unload.

Maybe. Also, kind of funny that its the DC of Seattle that the Saints O had much passing success against that playoff game.

Yes I'm fully aware of that Chad, but these guys are already doing SP's job and their own job. Now we are losing them, all while still not having a head coach. Loomis can't do it all...again it's fricking bullshite.

The Jaguars have requested permission to interview Saints OC Pete Carmichael for their own offensive coordinator position.
Carmichael is a coaching free agent, but the Jags apparently need the Saints' permission because it would be a lateral move and the new league year hasn't started yet. Per ESPN's Adam Schefter, New Orleans does want to re-sign Carmichael, who has been calling the Saints' plays since Sean Payton broke his leg in the middle of the 2011 season.
