Pull for Nashville - solid on offense despite not having a top 10 star and a top 5 goalie.

Can't believe I missed this thread on the draft. fricking Te'o!!!

Most casual friendly teams to root for:

Penguins
Oilers ( Heavily loaded on offense with young talent)
Blackhawks
Flyers
Capitals

Just watch the free preview of Center Ice this month and decide whose style of play you like. The most bandwagon-y teams are the Penguins and the Red Wings, though rooting for the Wings now means signing up for the decline.

On this board, it seems most people are fans of the Eastern Conference teams (we have a legion of Caps, Rangers, Bruins, and Pens fans... and some Leafs fan). To be honest, if you live in the South, you should really consider rooting for the St. Louis Blues. the traditional southern team, great depth, well coached, they play old time hockey and are fun to watch. Easy to root for but they will break your heart.

Caps fans can relate. Don't listen to the Blue Jacket fans. There's avoiding a bandwagon, and then there's signing up for the Titanic. The Oilers are the hot young team right now. The Wild are trying to buy a title (it won't work). There's always the Canucks, too.
