I like Mett a lot and think he has great potential. But, he was still overthrowing WRs, RBs, TEs and stuck in quick sand in the pocket the last half of the season.

You said he didn't improve...not that he has room for improvement.

The premise of your argument is clearly wrong, IMO.

I think that Mett was severely limited by the injuries on the OL and having the worst WR core that we've had in probably 10 years. Despite all of that IMO, he did not improve as a QB during the season.

If you disagree and think that Kragthorpe has done well enough to keep his job, that's fine. I'm okay with people disagreeing with me.

I think that next year will probably be the real test in whether or not Kragthorpe is earning his paycheck. We should be able to tell really quickly (with a much more experienced OL and WR core) whether Mett has improved.

I'm not sure how anyone can say that Mettenberger didn't get any better over the 2nd half of the year last year.
heres Metts year on paper.

(completions/attempts, TDs-Ints, total yards, qb rating)

North Texas - 19/26, 1-1, 192 yds, 140.1 qbr

Wash. - 12/18, 1-0, 195 yds, 176.0 qbr

Idaho - 17/22, 2-1, 222 yds, 182.9 qbr

Auburn - 15/27, 0-0, 169 yds, 108.1 qbr

Townson - 15/26, 2-0, 238 yds, 160 qbr

Florida - 11/25, 0-1, 158 yds, 89.1 qbr

Scar - 12/25, 0-1, 148 yds, 89.7 qbr

A&M - 11/29, 1-0, 97 yds, 77.4 qbr

bama - 24/35, 1-0, 298 yds, 149.5 qbr

Miss St. - 19/30, 2-0, 273 yds, 161.8 qbr

Ole Miss - 22/37, 0-2, 282 yds, 112.7 qbr

Ark - 16/29, 1-0, 217 yards, 129.4 qbr

he started pretty well but definitely struggled when he got into SEC play and when the OL was in such disaray, but the fact that he bounced back so strong, and that it began against bama, the biggest game of his life against a very good defense, I think says a lot about Metts mental toughness and what Krag can do as a QB coach.
