He only has to wait 5 months if he still wants to go to USC for free. Not exactly the end of the world.
I could certainly understand being upset and wanting to go somewhere else though.
The point is that he did the work to graduate early so he could get in early for winter conditioning, spring practices, etc. It's a huge advantage for an incoming recruit. It gives them an extra 7 months of training before fall camp begins. The USC coaches knew he was an EE. I understand that it happens but that doesn't change the fact that it's the wrong thing to do.

I know it wasn't Les' fault
Les didn't take away PM's EE with little time until the semester started? He didn't go against his word?

USC is an unfair crazy situation because of phat phuck Paul Dee.
They're having to juggle numbers left and right and count some players in spring and some in fall and some players say they're going to be gone and then aren't and carry over in totals.
All recruits know nothing is written in stone in Kiffin's numbers juggling plan.
This isn't Saban who has the luxury of signing 38 kids and gets them into camp - sees who he doesn't like and then asks them to give back their scholie and transfer or quit.
Kiffin sucks as a gameday coach but anyone complaining about this is being a total tool as well.

USC is having a real problem with their numbers.. this is the second kid they have done this to
The West Mesquite (TX) WR was committed all year and supposed to be an EE, and he was told to wait until fall also. He chose to go to UCLA instead.

The sanctions are NOW really starting to catch up with USC. Good for other schools; too bad for USC b/c if they had the numbers, things would be different.

Ironic you saying people who complain about USC recruiting is a tool while complaining about Saban's recruiting tactics

This reminds me of the Elliot Porter-LSU recruiting. The problem with paying a semester is USC is very expensive and a private school. LSU is much cheaper. He could always get a job and work a few months then go to USC in the fall. Even if USC is his dream school I wouldn't play for Lane Kiffen. He will be gone soon so you could look at it that way too.

The player is having fits because the coaches told him one thing, then did another. Kiffin is having fits because now he's not having Fitts. The fans are having fits because we still have Kiffin even after Kiffin was let go, because no Kiffin > 1 Kiffin. We may yet get Fitts, but we won't know for a while.

was committed to USC and took extra high school classes so he could graduate early and enroll at the university in January.
