Go to Dick's Sporting Goods or any place that you can be fitted for a ball. Spin rate, launch angle and distance mean just as much on the ball as it does on the driver.

Spin rate and distance vary very little amongst the type of balls you may use, in that among the higher spinning balls, there is little change between brand, and so on.

Launch angle is not determined by a particular type of ball, theoretically. Different aspects within the swing determine this. The type of core a ball has may aid one way or another, but if you're looking for higher or lower ball flight, changing your ball to a low compression core for a higher launch isn't gonna be what you're looking for. You change shafts or clubs to get a measurable change.

Getting fitted for a ball is a gimmick to make money. Anyone knowledgeable with retail could give you an estimate the same a machine "could".
