Sure, as is Talib Kweli and Nas. But I'm shocked by how many terrible hip hop shows I've been to. I have no idea why rap doesn't translate to a live performance, as you'd think it would.

I'm not surprised it may have started out as DJs but has gotten overly produced.

ill add mos def, qtip, de la soul, common, jay z and kanye (love him or hate him he puts on an amazing show)to the list.

ive seen numerous great "underground" shows as well, but most people wouldve never heard of the artists anyway.
