If he is only doing this once he could get a 60qt pot and save some money. A sack is only about 35 lbs at max. So, unless he plans on putting all kind of stuff in his boil beyond new potatoes and corn he will be fine with 60 quarts.

Instead of ice freeze some 2 liter bottle of water and put that In the pot at the end instead of diluting your seasoning with ice

A sack doesn't fit in a 60 and if he's only doing it once he should borrow one from somebody.
