If I am Andrew Lloyd Webber I am looking at the success of Les Miserables and realizing that going with Joel Schumacher as a director was a bad idea. I'd push through a remake using a similar formula Tom Hooper used on Les Miserables: bigger-named cast, live singing, etc.
ETA: Also...hire a better make-up artist. The "disfigured" face of the Phantom was hardly worth getting scared over.
