Just posted on Facebook they have a few essential arms stripped lowers in stock for $419.95
I understand prices are high right now but that's crazy what they are asking...Essential arms lists the same lower for $98 on their website

So if I bought that, how much more is it gonna cost to get it operational?
Posted on 1/11/13 at 4:44 pm to BRgetthenet
It all depends on what kinda upper and parts you put on it... Anywhere from 600-3000

Market sets the value. I'd try to get every penny I could for it.

I agree 100%, but since its not me making the money I hope that they burn
Actually, I am pretty neutral towards them. Only go there to shoot though.

I have no problem with them making market value but that's 4 times what they were going for.... I've seen lowers still going around $200 around BR

I only paid 500.00 for Colt Sporter years ago. Wish i had not lost it when boat flipped.

Let their customers decide how much they can charge. I for one wouldn't even consider paying that much and hopefully noone else will. Free market is what it is, they have the right put as big a price tag on it that they want and consumers have the right not to buy it. I do think it is shitty of them to be buying it for pre-freak-out prices and attempting that much of a mark up.

Yes. It's a little extreme.
But, that's the American way. Gotta make hay when the sun's shining.

You're right, but it is also the American way to drive companies who take advantage of situations out of business if the opportunity arises.
Support their right to do it, but hope they get it stuck to em by customers.

I mean, if you stock stuff that will possibly be illegal to sell soon, would you not try to get as much out of the remaining stock as possible? It makes sense to me. I ain't mad at em.

Not saying you have to be or that you have to be out to get them. But if a competitor doesn't do that, I'd likely take it under consideration for future purposes.
Just because capitalism is the best system doesn't mean we have to applaud people for exploiting it to its fullest. There is a distinction between creating the frenzy and responding to one, and this sounds like the former (now, at least). But someone will pay it, so it'll work, for now.
