It used to be D but the league has manipulated the rules so much in favor of the O it's now you win with QB&D

+1. From 1982-1991, a HOF QB won the Super Bowl only three times over that ten season period. And all three of those wins came courtesy of Joe Montana. It shows you how essential a good running game and defense used to be for a team to be successful. Put Dan Marino in today's NFL and I have a hard time seeing him not winning at least one Super Bowl. It's too bad for Marino that he was born 25 years too early.
