Oh, in that case. I kind of agree and kind of disagree.
I agree in the sense that realistically we just might not be that good.
I disagree in the sense that the quote makes Miles, intentionally or unintentionally, seem like he might just be content with that reality.

Nowhere in that quote does he infer that we're just not that good or that he would be content with being not that good.
