Chicot Lake SP has great hiking, fishing, and is closed to hunting. They have some fantastic primitive tent camping spots that require a hike in. They are typically on the ends of points in the lake. You'd have to pack everything in. Alternatively, you could rent a cabin and do the hiking and fishing comfortably.

Mung, do they allow campfires on those trails? The general rule of thumb is no fire ring, no fire.

I ask because I've though of parking my boat in remote areas near yo-yo's I had set so I could cook a hamburger patti or ribeye.

Psh, that's not camping.

So far I like the look of this place near Azalea, thanks for the ideas.
