This summer a friend of mine told me that the local liquor store had cases of Fat Tire for $9. I said, "You mean $9 per 12 pack." He assured me it was for a case. I drove there and discovered that not only was it indeed $12/case, but they were 16 ounce cans! I loaded up with 8 cases. I ended up going golfing and thought I should buy more. I stopped back after my round, but they were already sold out. The manager of the store said that guys were so happy that they were hugging him. People were buying 20-30 cases at once. They also had cases of New Belgium Ranger for $9, but that stuff is too hoppy for me.
It was so cheap because it was right at it's freshness date, but I've read where beer will still taste good for roughly 6 months after that date and even longer in some cases.
What is the best deal you've ever run across?

Three bottles of wine for $10 at Marcello's. They usually have a lot of stuff that ladies like to drink (reislings, pinot gris, etc.) I load up on that stuff.

It's a year round deal.

Every once in a while I will see that some at the loacl Albertsons loads up the "make you own 6-pack" shelf with Ruination, so I usually make my own 6-pack of it for $8.99 and then grab a bomber of something "for free".

Back in college I scored 2 cases of Killian's Red long necks for $9.99 per at the asian mart across from Tigerland.

But the king of all deals was just after Hurricane Andrew at Circle K across from Cane's on Highland at the North gates. We were throwing a hurricane party and I was tasked with picking up the keg. I asked how much a keg of Bud Light was and the cashier responds with "12.99 go get". I tried to clarify that I wanted a big metal barrel of beer. Again, "12.99 go get". I returned from the cooler with a half-barrel of BL on his dolly. "This is what I want. How much?" "$12.99" comes the answer. I bought 5, no deposit.

Went to Bogies a couple years ago around the holidays and saw they had Delierlum Noel in their fridge. Asked how much for the Noel and had to literally go behind the counter to point out what I was talking about.

They had no idea what the beer was so sold it to me for normal BMC price ($3). Had 4 that night.

market basket in LC used to have Whitehaven Sauvignon Blanc for $10, I used to buy a couple bottles everytime I went. I think they caught on that they were losing money or breaking even after a couple weeks, the price went up to $18-20
same price everywhere else now
