I think it's a scam thing.

Gris, did you try to open it? Or download the whole thing to your computer?

It didn't download. I got a pop up when I clicked on download. It said Microsoft found viruses on my computer and had some big red box showing viruses. I've never seen anything like that before. When I tried to close the page, a blue box popped up and I can't recall what it said.

What do you need me to do? I hid the post in the recipe thread.

I have no idea, Chicken. I'm not a computer whiz. Maybe someone else has a suggestion. I didn't want anyone to get a virus in case that's what it is. I'm running malware bytes right now.

She's been out for a while. It may have crashed her hard drive.

Malwarebytes came up with nothing. I'm not on a PC. On a laptop. I think the messages may have said something about a virus on the PC. I don't remember. I'm not techno minded.

Nope. My computer seems to be working just fine. All I know is that when I clicked "download", the page and the blue box popped up in a new window. A computer nerd probably knows what that means.

so, was this a false alarm?

I don't know. I got the popups from it, but I didn't adhere to their instructions. Perhaps, I escaped that way. I've never gotten that pop up before and I download that book pretty often perusuing it.
You could put it back up and let some other brave person click on it to see what happens. Maybe put a note under it that says to advise on the Help Board if anyone has a problem with the download site. Maybe it could be moved to another host site. I don't know nothin' bout that, though.

Could have been one of those fake virus notifications that doesn't give you a virus. I wish I could help more.

No. It say something like Microsoft virus warning. There was a rectangle shaped box outlined in an orange color with 3 viruses listed. Two of which were Trojan, I believe. That's all that was on the new window that popped up. When I clicked to close the window, a small rectangular shaped box popped up that asked if I wanted to continue and if I did, then I'd have a virus or something like that. Finally, I just got the window closed. I don't know what all the boxes said.
