Who has had this done? Did you do it yourself? Did you have it done? Who would you recommend in the baton rouge area? Post pics if you can.

Will you be able to see if I post pics?

I've done one and it came out great. Working on another one right now. Kind of a pain in the arse.
Next one I'll call Darryl Smith in Prairieville. Someone said he does them for $75. I'm going to ask him next time I see him, if so, that is way worth it IMO.

My BIL started doing them a few years ago as a hobby, but then started to get inundated with anters so he ended up turning it in to a nice little side business during the offseason. I think he charges somewhere between $50-75 depending on the wood. They look badass on some old cypress or driftwood

I have Darryl's number but can never get him to answer. Got his number off this board.

I have a head in a cooler and I'm tempted to try it. Or just wack the horns off and buy one of those fake skulls

Just try it with a doe head, FT. Or a spike. The horns actually get in the way, but a doe head boils out and cleans and dries in the same manner as a 10 pointer.

I don't know if I have a pot to boil one in. Don't wanna use my crawfish pot

Heres one I did years ago.

This is what I use. Get one of these: LINK
Set the can rack aside until you're ready to can your purple hulls.

Nice! Good job on taking care of those fragile nose bones. Did you sun bleach the rack?

I let the bugs have it for a couple months then boiled it then bleached the whole thing.
