Scrape off what you can. Wire skull to a cinder block and throw in a ant pile. Leave for a few days. Check and ensure that everything is gone and clean. Wash. Use dark brown shoe polish on horns and bleach on the skull. Nail to a piece of wood. It gives it a different and rich look.

Yeah, you can send any skull off to some of the tanneries out west and up north for processing. They use a dermastid (sp?) beetle to eat off the flesh and you get the skull back all nice and clean. I bet fire ants would do the same thing if the possums and yotes didn't carry it off first...
