Agree with the part that I would have liked to see the seal team training for this particular mission.

As far as some folks thinking the beginning of the movie drags, there are others who actually praise the CIA sleuthing portion of the movie more than the final assault (seen as some as anti-climactic). People who think this is a pure action movie are going to be disappointed, imo.
Finally, I'm always amused at the criticism of The Hurt Locker as not being completely realistic from a technical point of view. After all, it is a movie made for entertainment and not a documentary. There is no way, for example, that a movie audience would watch two hours of guys working on a single bomb. As long as the essence of the story and experience is conveyed, it serves its purpose.
Agree with everything that was said here. People need to lighten up and understand that these are movies, not intended to be exact replications of what happened. Some artistic license is necessary or no one would go see them. Actual life/events can actually be very boring and uneventful between the "good" parts.

Thought the movie was very very good but maybe had my hopes up a bit too high.
Still a solid A, and the raid scene was fantastic.
Am I the only one who thinks all the fuss about the torture is being WAY overblown???
It was two scenes in like the first 20 minutes, and aside from the waterboard was mainly showing the psychological aspect of how they manipulate them IMO.
Way more outrageous stuff in 24 or Homeland type shows.
Maybe I'm just desensitized but this seemed much more realistic IMO.

Saw it last night and can say with first hand knowledge that that's about as close as you'll ever get to seeing a real raid.
The technical aspects of it were near perfect other than a few minor things. They definitely had some consultants working on the movie that knew their shite.

It was a good movie but it was rather dull to me as well. Maybe it was because it wasn't quite what I was expecting but other people will enjoy this movie. I prefer Argo and Lincoln as far as historical movies go.

Just got out of ZDT an hour ago. Best movie I've seen since The Dark Knight.
Incredibly well done.

Definitely. One of my favorite parts: *whispering* "Osama!. . . Osama!. . ." Tat-tat-tat.

Amen. After hearing how much the movie supposedly glorified torture I had to wonder if people saw the same movie I did.
SPOILERS
Did the torture guy, Dan, not get better info once he fed the prisoner dinner rather than during the previous torture scene?

I thought it showed that torture was hit and miss.
To say it glorified torture and showed it was always effective was laughable.

Saw it last night and loved it. Had no problems with torture scenes, length of the movie, or the raid. In fact I can't remember that the last time I watched a movie scene as intently as I did that raid scene. Loved the baiting they did by whispering the names
Though I did hear other moviegoers talk about how the movie was too long and/or that it was too boring at points as they were leaving the theater.

IMHO, the people that say it was dragging or slow in parts are the retards that walk among us that wanted to go watch a Call of Duty game rather than a great film.
They can kiss my arse, lol.

Saw ZDT today. What an amazing movie. Best one that I saw in 2012.

I have to agree with this, I noticed a lot of people in my theater wearing camouflage and trucker hats.

Saw it last night.
I agree with the OP that it was gonna annoying how it was only portrayed from the main characters point of view and we didn't really get the too see the efforts of others (I'm sure there was plenty of heroics from others). But it was a pretty good movie. I give it 4.5 out of 5 stars.
