I wish him well. Can't tackle worth a shite though.

With White/Robinson coming in, Simon would be exposed again. This is probably his best time to test the waters. LSU will be fine at CB.

I think he just doesn't have any confidence in Les and the coaching staff.
He can't leave his future in such incompetent hands, he needs to take control of his future.

NFL: Lots of money, getting coached up in the pros
vs
LSU: No money, coached up in college, going through a year where his draft stock is unlikely to rise further and could potentially fall, risking another year of injury, and most importantly, very little chance of achieving the one thing he hasn't already done (win Thorpe/become an All-American/win a title)
Easy choice. Simon's done all he can do here.

Oh, sure. When staring at 10 times the $ we make in a year, a college player says to himself,
"Ya know, I just don't trust this here coach. I'd rather just go pro, instead of wait another year."

if he gets drafted at all he'll be making fairly good money compared to his current family situation...that bad thing is htey will all be counting on uncle Tharold to pay their way for life. $400-$500k don't go THAT far with so many hands in the cookie jar

Wtf?? Is this the way you justify him sucking arse?? Asking me where I played college ball? I never claimed to be a professional football player and I don't have to be to know the dude sucked. He sure acted like he was the baddest but he was no PP7.

The reason Simon (and the rest of the secondary) underperformed this year is because we lost Ron Cooper.
LSU was lucky to have him for the time he was here.
